Civil Aviation Medical Exam
IN-PERSON

Welcome to YOW Aviation Medicals

Our goal is to provide efficient and timely Transport Canada Category 1 through 4 medicals for both new applicants and those who require renewals. We offer both virtual and in house services.

In-person assessments generally take 30-45 minutes.

We can generally accommodate appointments within 1-2 weeks. If you do not see availability that suits, please contact us directly to see if we can accommodate you outside the listed schedule.

For all in person assessments, you must download the 4 page Medical Examination Report (MER) and bring it the the appointment, completing page 1 in advance of the appointment.
Please access this form HERE

Please see below for important information regarding in-person assessments.
Aviation Document Booklet
If you hold an Aviation Document Booklet, please bring this with you to the appointment.
You must print this form, complete page 1 and then bring the entire document to the appointment.

Please be sure to bring:

Audiogram
If an audiogram is required, you can simply make arrangements for this to be done at a local hearing centre. No requisition is required. Once the audiogram is completed, you can bring these results to the appointment.

Urinalysis
Urinalysis is required at each in person assessment appointment. This can be done on site or at any local lab.
ECG

If an ECG is required, we would be happy to arrange a lab requisition for you.

Once the ECG is done, it can take up to 7 business days for the results to get to our office. It is optimal that the ECG is completed prior to our appointment.
